MNHS Post-Turkey Walk at the Quinapoxet TrailDate: 12/01/2008It's a post Thanksgiving walk! Work off the mashed potatoes and gravy and that extra slice of pie by joining us for a little exercise! The Quinapoxet trail is an easy 3-mile section of trail on the rail bed that follows the Quinapoxet River. Park at Thomas Street adjacent to the Quinapoxet River just off Route 140 in West Boylston. ( I-190 take Exit 5, Route 140 south one mile. 140 bears left over causeway, continue straight ahead to first parking area on the right.) Whiteface hike & slide!Date: 01/23/2009 - 01/25/2009Join us for a winter weekend in the Whites January 23rd-25th! We'll be spending the weekend at a hostel in North Conway, NH. There will be an official leader-led AMC hike up Whiteface Mt, 8.8 miles long, steep, for advanced hikers (butt sliding fun but optional). Winter gear a must for this (gear list can be sent upon request). The second AMC leader-led hike is TBD and based on participants' levels & interests. Skiers welcome to join us for weekend socializing. Skiing will not be AMC-led but skiers can join us for group meals. The group meals are Saturday dinner and Sunday brunch.
