Chapter Youth Program
The Worcester Chapter is delighted to announce the inception of the AMC Chapter Youth Program. Our volunteers are available to lead hikes or activities for youth group organizations and schools.
Please contact Deb Phaup, CYP coordinator, at dphaup@verizon.net if you're interested in becoming a volunteer or if you have recommendations for organizations that could use our services. Please consider getting involved and make a difference in the life of a child.
Thanks to the following members who have taken the initiative to start our program: Barbara Dyer, Bruce Blais, Deb Phaup, Mary MacDonald, Michele Simoneau, Claude Guerlain, Scott Karpuk and staff Faith Salter.
We’ve had 2 events with the kids of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metrowest/Central Mass. On May 3rd, and June 25th, 2008, Barb Dyer led a hike to Breakneck Hill Conservation Land in Southboro. On May 3rd, after the hike, we were able to visit and feed the cows and other animals. On June 25th, we had a picnic lunch following the hike. Thanks also go to co-leaders Michele Simoneau, Bruce Blais, and Elaine Cibelli. |
