| Chapter Youth Program
In the last year we have launched our Chapter Youth Program. This program will permit and encourage qualified AMC members to work with a sponsoring organization [ex. BBBS, YMCA] to lead children in outdoor activities. We will be able to share our love of nature with children who often do not have the opportunity to participate in exploring the natural environment. Youth skills training and a background check are among the requirements necessary to become an AMC CYP activity leader. We are off to a great start running our first activities this spring and summer with Big Brother Big Sister but we need more volunteers to make this program a success. Join a committee
We are also always looking for people to serve on various committees (conservation, membership, young members), help out with special events or lead trips. Become a trip leader
Share your favorite places with other like minded AMCers. Our volunteer leaders are the lifeblood of our chapter, we couldn't do it without them. If you are already an active leader - Thanks! If not, please consider becoming one and sharing your skills, knowledge and enthusiasm with others. Leadership training will be provided.
